Fourth year Environmental Studies and Geography Major
Research Interests: Riparian + intertidal ecosystem restoration, mammal rehabilitation, & accessibility within outdoor education
Personal Interests: DJing on KCSB-FM, making ceramics, tide-pooling, & photography

Iriana Tarmoh, Vice Chair

Fourth Year Biology Major
Research Interests: neuroscience, specifically in terms of psychiatry and what changes in the brain can cause certain behaviors, how mental illness can develop through traumatic experiences, and how/what medicines can help with certain mental illnesses
Personal Interests: makeup, fashion, crocheting

David Aubuchon, Undergraduate Board Member

Year and Major: Third Year Environmental Studies
Research Interests: Energy Transition, Environmental Climate Change Adaption, and Environmental Planning
Personal Interests: Snowboarding, Hiking, Camping, Roadtrips

PJ Scotting, Undergraduate Board Member

Year and Major: Fourth year Environmental Studies and Geography Major
Research Interests: Endangered species conservation in marine ecosystems, using geospatial techniques to address environmental issues, sustainable transportation and urban design
Personal Interests: Soccer, going to the beach, playing Just Dance

Sophia Chen, Undergraduate Board Member

Year and Major: First year Physics
Research Interests: the protection of academic staff in K-12 education, conservation efforts in the National Park and BLM system, and high energy physics/particle colliders
Personal Interests: staffing for Model UN conferences, traveling to UNESCO World Heritage sites, and caring for marine life at the REEF aquarium!

Rachel Sandquist, Graduate Board Member

Year and Department: Fourth Year PhD Candidate in Microbial Oceanography and Biogeochemistry
Research Interests: Marine carbon and oxygen cycling; connection of microbial-scale processes to large-scale ocean health; how microbial respiration and carbon cycling influence future ocean oxygen and carbon dynamics; advancing science education and outreach by designing inclusive, inquiry-driven learning experiences
Personal Interests: Surfing, Free Diving, Photography, Cooking, Hiking

Trap Puckette, Graduate Board Member

Year and Department: Third Year PhD Candidate in Earth Science
Research Interests: Coastal geology and geomorphology, ice sheet and sea-level history, sedimentology
Personal Interests: Surfing, freediving, hiking— anything that gets me outside!
